The Éclair settings come preset for a fast, search-friendly site: you only adjust what you need. This reference describes each field with its exact label and its effect on the site, tab by tab. Settings, Users and Security are reserved for administrators: an editor doesn't see them in the menu.

How are the Éclair settings organized?

The Settings menu groups the Éclair settings into 8 tabs. Each tab is saved with the Save button at the bottom of the page; the site cache is then cleared and the message “Settings saved. The site is already up to date ⚡” confirms it.

Frequently asked questions about settings

Can an editor change the Éclair settings?

No. Settings, Users and Security are reserved for administrators; an editor takes care of content and everything around it: media, categories, menus, messages and redirects.

Why does Éclair ask for my password again?

For sensitive actions (Advanced tab, backup, account management, email change) when you logged in more than 15 minutes ago. If someone uses a session you left open, they can't go any further.

Where do I change the admin language?

In My profile › Admin language: each person chooses their own from 7 languages. The public site's language is set in Settings › General, and the language of each piece of content in the editor (multilingual site).

To go further, the official Éclair guide describes these same Éclair settings throughout its sections, and the files reference shows where each one is stored.
