The AI prepares, you publish

Built-in assistant or MCP connector: which should I choose?

The MCP connector is ideal if you already have a compatible Claude or ChatGPT subscription: no cost for the site. The built-in assistant suits you if you'd rather do everything in the admin, with a pay-as-you-go API key. The two can coexist.

How much does the built-in assistant cost?

You pay the provider directly, for what you actually use. According to Éclair's official guide, a full post costs about $0.24 with Claude Opus 5.5 and $0.12 with Claude Sonnet 5.5 (prices checked on October 29, 2026). A monthly budget caps the spending.

Can the AI publish for me?

No. Neither the built-in assistant nor the MCP connector can publish or delete content. They create drafts and suggestions, and publishing remains a human click.
